Another Brick in the Wall

I've had quite a bit of trouble getting anything done lately. Recently a client has really been down on me over a few bugs that came with the latest release of their software. I've already fixed them, of course, but it really put a strain on my relationship with that client. They're one of my biggest clients and although I feel I've now made them content with the new server and fixing all their bugs, I still feel a little bit of animosity t'wards them.

When people go through a rough situation together it always effects their relationship. They can come out the other side closer or pushed further apart, but it will always effect them. Maybe in the long run my relationship with this client will grow, but for now it looks like its only put stress on it all. Its just not as much fun, anymore.

That's what it all comes down to. Fun. F-U-N. If you don't enjoy what you do for a living, what fun is it? Anymore I just find the whole damned thing stressful. I've been blessed with a gift -- The opportunity to do something I enjoy and get paid for it. One doesn't do something for as long as I've been "doing" programming and not get sick of it from time to time. This will all pass. I'll just have to be like everyone else for a little while and not enjoy my job.

"How can you think you're powerless? What problem can you face where you think God hasn't given you the power to overcome it?"
